Could you use $ 500 for Christmas Shopping this year? We will be sending home in the next week an envelope with each child, containing Raffle Tickets to sell for $2.00 each for a chance to win $500, $250 or $100. More detailed information will be included in the envelope with the tickets. If you prefer not to participate, please notify the office by Tuesday, Nov. 25th.

Mr Wiley has graciously offered to hold open gym again this winter starting, Thursday, Dec 4th and every Thursday until March 26th, (when school is in session) from 6:00pm-7:30pm the Parma Elementary Gym will be open for any students and parents who currently attend Parma. Come enjoy an active evening once a week with your child. Shoot baskets, climb the rock wall, play some volleyball, jump rope or play sock tag. There is no cost to you! Come build some memories and Sharpen the Saw by staying active.

Canned Food Drive
Canned Food Drive Parma Elementary has planned a Canned Food DrivebeginningDecember 1 through December 11, the items collected will be given to the Parma/Spring Arbor Lions Club to be disturbed to Western families for Christmas baskets.

Lock In: We are offering another lock in on Friday, Dec 12th from 6pm-9pm. This would be a great opportunity to drop off your students in grades K-5 and finish up your holiday shopping. There will be movies, karaoke, a lego room, mindcraft, and a craft room. Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be available to purchase for $ 1.00 each. The Parma PTA recently started a new program which will help make the money you already spend at your favorite stores, work to benefit your child's school. It is called Scrip. It works by, purchasing gift cards to the participating stores, (click here to see a list of stores) from the PTA on Tuesday's from 3:00pm-4:00pm or online. Then they company gives the PTA a percentage of all gift cards purchased and you get the full amount of the gift card to purchase item from that retailer. The School Store will be open on Thursday mornings before school. Items available for purchase are pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, note pads, and other school related items.
If your student is interesting in trying wrestling, please see the attached flyer. It is open to boys and girls in grades K-6, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Middle School. Sign ups are Thursday, Nov 20th and practice starts Dec. 2nd.
If your son is interested in learning plays, practicing skills, and forging relationships with other Western players, please click here to register your son for the Western Junior Basketball program. This program is offered to boys in grades 2nd through 6th from Nov. 22 - Dec. 20.
Basketball for girls
Western is offering a clinic to girls interesting in basketball, this is available for grades Kindergarten - 6th grades and runs Nov. 22 - Dec. 20. This Junior Panther program allows students to sharpen their basketball skills, learn the importance of teamwork, and hard work. Cp Federal Credit Union
The student led branch of the CP Federal Credit Union will open for business on Tuesday, October 21st and will be open every Tuesday throughout the school year. This is a great way for your students to start saving money.
If your child would like to learn to skate, the Optimist Ice Arena is offering classes during the fall from Nov. 1- Dec 13 and a winter session from Jan. 3 - Feb. 14. Please click here for the flyer for more details. They offer classes for all skill levels.
The PTA is popping popcorn twice a month for students to purchase. The cost is .25 a bag. If you are able to volunteer to assist with popping on any Friday, please contact the office. The popcorn schedule for the year is below:
